NET HERO: You can't have a great team without a great goalie; luckily Stealth goalkeeper Anthony Cosmo delivers.

Lacrosse Roads

By Felipe Buitrago

AFTER a quick game of Red Light/Green Light back in October, when the National Lacrosse League first canceled the 2008 season and then put it back on schedule almost a month later, things are looking up for the San Jose Stealth. Not only are star forwards Jeff Zywicki and Colin Doyle on for one more year, but the team has also acquired three new players from the Dispersal Draft where the Arizona Sting and the Boston Blazers chose to be inactive for the '08 season. As a result, Peter Veltman from Arizona, along with Keegan Davidson and leftie Sean Morris, both from the Blazers, has entered the ranks of the Stealth. To further consolidate the team, training camp saw the return of Anthony Cosmo. This goalkeeper, who is now on his fourth season with the Stealth, has a .792 save percentage. The season starts Jan. 12, when the Stealth will travel to Calgary to take on the Roughnecks. The first home game will be on Jan. 25 at the HP Pavilion against the Colorado Mammoth.
