On the Rocks

TOM COLLINS Presents Champions on Ice is not a bartender's festival; rather, it's the most amazing assembly of international skaters to cut the ice. This year's tour will be passing through 15 states and 23 cities spreading the spectacle far and wide. With the likes of 2006 Silver Medalist and World Bronze Medalist Sasha Cohen and other Olympic Medalists and World Champion ice skaters such as Kimmie Meissner, Shizuka Arakawa, and Shae–Lynn Bourne, this array of lights and skates differs from any other you've seen. This year the tour will be taking it one step further. Costumes, music, skating and entertainment will be flowing effortlessly on the ice when Irina Gregorian and her hula–hoop routine take the stage. And then two-time U.S. Bronze Medalist Dan Hollander will spice things with his skilled and comical skating lines. But the ice will fly like confetti when Vladimir Besedin and Oleksiy Polishchuk perform their acrobatics a la Blades of Glory. Yes, guys, this isn't the ice skating you ran from or had to pretend you liked. The skaters are proving their talents with innovative and unique routines that may take the sport to the next level of pop–culture cool.

Tom Collins Presents Champions on Ice happens May 18 at 7:30pm at HP Pavilion, San Jose. Tickets are now on sale. For more information visit www.championsonice.com.
