WHEN IT'S COLD and wet outside, try a little Chinese wisdom to warm your soul. According to the dictums of Chinese medicine, the following five foods have various warming properties to get your chi flowing.
Cherries: Good for expelling cold, wind and dampness.
Cinnamon bark: Warms the surface and interior.
Green Onions: Like cherries, they expel cold and dry dampness.
Mustard Greens: Help expel cold and circulate chi and blood.
Pine Nuts: Expel cold and wind.
