In the aftermath of the Sept 11 terrorist attacks, fundraisers, vigils and other community events are being organized to show support and unity. Metroactive would like to help get the word out to the community about these events. If you know of any such events not yet posted here, please submit the information to [email protected].

Sept 15

Almaden Valley Art & Wine Fundraiser The Almaden Valley Art & Wine Festival has switched its format this year to a fundraiser for disaster relief efforts and a community event to show unity. A major portion of festival proceeds will be donated to a disaster relief fund. Sept 16, 10:30am-6:30pm. Parma Park, Almaden Valley, San Jose. www.almadenartwinefestival.com

Turbo A showcase of local and international DJs, including Julius Papp, Steve Husted, Rick Preston, Harry Who, Geo, Mark Johns and M3, plus others. All proceeds will be donated to the Red Cross.
