Oakland’s Urbanview

Urbanview published for three-and-a-half years, first as a biweekly serving the Jack London Square neighborhood, and from October 2000 to October 2002 as an alternative weekly serving the Oakland, California area. The newspaper featured original commentary, community reporting and arts criticism and offered local artists the opportunity to publish their work on its cover.

We're proud of the work we published and enjoyed being part of the Oakland community. Many thanks to the staff members, advertisers and community members who supported our efforts.
