Downtown Campbell’s farmer’s market is going to get a new look. The Downtown Campbell Business Association, the city of Campbell and Urban Villages, the market’s organizer, have announced plans to implement a new format they hope will improve the shopping experience of the popular market.

While once a sleepy few blocks, downtown Campbell has blossomed into a lively business district, and the 13-year-old farmer’s market has helped drive the area’s popularity. The vendors will remain the same, but the new layout promises more room on the street and sidewalks to allow shoppers more elbow room and access to more businesses. The plan will also provide better access for street musicians.

The new format will now encompass the section of East Campbell Avenue between Second and Third streets, which were not part of the original layout. The new layout will go into effect July 15.
