The big band is back at Boutiki for a big birthday bash! 7th St. Big Band are San Jose’s modern take on the century old form, and they return to Art Boutiki this weekend to celebrate venue owner Dan Vado’s birthday in swinging style. Led by drummer and band director Gabby Horlick, this group has been making cutting edge big band sounds since forming in 2013 on San Jose’s inimitable east side. On Saturday, they pack the stage with a full, resplendent arrangement of woodwinds and brass, bass, guitar, marimba, drums and more! This local jazz ensemble is a crowd pleaser.
