Richard Villa in Sunnyvale
No one captures the unique multicultural and bilingual experience like Richard Villa. Much of his comedy draws from his formative years as a Mexican American Latino in Compton, California. Villa straddled two worlds, becoming an acute observer of culture, relationships and community—a hard-won skill particularly evident in his tender and insightful but hilarious material. Thanks to his crossover appeal, Villa has appeared on massive platforms like Netflix, MTV, Comedy Central and HBO. He also was the first Latino to host Refried Fridays at the globally recognized Hollywood Improv. Villa performs Thursday through Saturday, with Friday’s show in Spanish.
