The 39th Annual Gilroy Garlic Festival

It’s been 39 years since the world got its first taste of the Gilroy Garlic Festival, and the three-day celebration of the city’s most beloved aromatic bulb lives on. This year, the Gourmet Alley chefs are cooking up a mouthwatering addition to the menu: delicious deep-fried garlic shrimp. Famous festival favorites include garlic-laced calamari, fries and stuffed mushrooms. Munch on garlicky goodness while listening to local bands like Mike Malinao & The Red Barn Rockerz and Vintage Noise. The whole family will enjoy this celebration of great food, live entertainment and special events, like the iron chef-style Garlic Showdown. The festival runs through July 30.
