Trombone Shorty’s Voodoo Threauxdown, however, offers the perfect solution in the form of a mini-festival celebrating the past, present and future of the legendary NOLA sound. The chart-topping horn player—whose many honors include his own Muppet—has curated a vibrant lineup of Crescent City greats. “These are people that I grew up listening to,” he says, “people I came up with, and people who have been inspired by me and my band.”
