Valentino Loyola’s ‘Embodied Perception’ Held at KALEID Gallery

Part of KALEID Gallery’s celebrated First Friday debuts, Valentino Loyola proudly opens his photographic exhibition “Embodied Perception.” In this ongoing series, the artist explores the complex territories of identity formation and personhood through this ongoing series. Loyola has a deep fascination with the way photography processes paired with other media mirror the construction—and at times, the deconstruction—of the self. With dramatic collage elements integrated into portraits and an emphasis on dynamism, Loyola’s works not only capture their subjects but also boldly and actively create them.
