Finland is known as one of the world’s happiest countries—but what about its humor? Since 2002, Finnish comedian Ismo has been spreading a wry, Scandinavian viewpoint all across the world. This Thursday and Friday, he headlines the Improv, continuing his eight-year streak of entertaining US audiences, ever since his much lauded American debut in 2014. At that time, he was awarded the title “The Funniest Person in the World” by the LA-based Laugh Factory. In the years since, he’s performed multiple times on late night, including a fan favorite performance on Conan.
