Twelve Bay Area poets gather at SJMA on Thursday, in a partnered event with Poetry Center San José to celebrate the joy of interdisciplinary marriage. This annual reading, which began in 2010 and returns this year from a pandemic hiatus, invites writers to create ekphrastic work based on pieces on display at the museum. Hosted by 2022-2023 Santa Clara County Poet Laureate Tshaka Campbell, the Poetry Invitational also features former Santa Clara County Laureate Arlene Biala and current Los Gatos Laureate Jen Siraganian.
