On the hit comedy show Grace and Frankie, Baron Vaughn’s character Bud (the nerdy Black son of Frankie and Sal) has a neat little character arc at the end. He leaves the boring practice of law behind and becomes a stand-up comedian to the less-than-enthusiastic “Who, you?” of his TV family. Yes, him! It’s cute because Baron Vaughn is actually a comedian (also a writer and director) and was a comedian long before he went on the show. With a dash of nerdiness that he shares with his character, Vaughn explores the general and the deep in his comedy, joking about everything from Blackness to sleep.
