Jazz and soul singer/songwriter Lady Blackbird is described as the “Grace Jones of jazz.” She began her recording career (then known as Marley Munroe) in 2013 and has since released nine singles and been the featured artist on eight more. Lady Blackbird’s most recent featured performance is “Slave to the Rhythm,” a single by noted producer Trevor Horn (Art of Noise, Yes, Buggles). Lady Blackbird’s second album, Slang Spirituals, was released in September. DJ Zuri Alexa opens. The concert is the fourth and final entry in St. James Park’s fall concert series.
