Afterlife, one of the most well-anticipated group exhibitions displayed at the Mexican Heritage Plaza, occurs annually during the Día de los Muertos season. The show features 28 local artists whose voices span cultural memory and generational experience. Afterlife opened during Avenida de Altares, the Plaza’s annual festival centering on an extended, reflective altar walk to celebrate relationships past and present. The forthcoming closing reception provides an opportunity to deepen dialogue with the artists. Visitors are invited to examine the events that inspired their work over appetizers and light beverages.
