Contemporary artist Tri Con Dang works with several different media, but his current work is primarily on paper, making use of ballpoint pens and colored pencils. His art often focuses on themes of landscapes and urbanscapes, and his work applies a finely tuned, nuanced perspective to the human experience. Remarkable in its fine detail, Dang’s art takes a conceptual approach, endeavoring to explore the nexus of art and ecology. His new featured exhibition, State of Mind, kicks off the new year at Gallery 9, opening on January 3 and running through January 27.
