Dark, brooding and bold are just some of the words that describe Stephanie Strange & the Familiars. While Strange has been a fixture in the Portland art scene for a few decades, Strange & the Familiars dropped their debut album, Pretty Deadly, in 2016. After the follow-up (Strange World), Strange teamed up with Portland illustrator Jay Reynolds to create the 28-page comic book How Stephanie Became Strange to take fans further into Strange’s world. So what better place for her and the Familiars to play than a music venue in a comic shop?
