In the world of punk, there are a lot of subgenres. Pop punk, hardcore, skate punk, cowpunk, horror punk, and more all have a near and dear place in the hearts of the tattooed and spikey-haired. But whoever heard of telephone punk? Hailing from Reno, Rotary Club is a telephone-based band that plays music for landline lovers. They’ve dialed in their sound to keep heads ringing with all things phone-related, even down to members’ names like Hotline and Operator. This is one band that won’t keep fans hanging on call waiting. Connecting with Rotary Club is San Jose’s own indie rockers Stratosphere and Los Angeles’ art punks HillyH.
