The Imaginative Landscape is a 20-year retrospective of artist Pao Houa Her’s landscape, portrait and documentary photographs, as well as video and large-scale lightboxes. Originally from Laos and based in St. Paul, Her is also a professor at the University of Minnesota. Her’s work addresses the Hmong (ethnic group from East Asia and Southeast Asia) community in the diaspora, especially in California and Minnesota. The exhibit is co-organized by the John Michael Kohler Arts Center in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, where it’s concurrently on view. The show goes until Feb. 22.
