All are welcome to celebrate Mexican Independence Day at La Plaza’s wonderful food festival that is sure to stimulate all the senses. As roasting chiles thicken the air, attendees of all ages can enjoy the velvety, slow-cooked mole infused with spices and hints of chocolate, and witness majestic horses dance to the thunderous sounds of Banda La Única onstage. Between tasting fiery salsa and savory homemade pozole, community members get to shop the artisanal market of handcrafted treasures, artwork, and goods made locally or imported from Mexico. High-flying luchadores, Aztec ritual dancers, and Los Lupenos’ folklórico dancers will all be present for this Eastside event!
