In the 1960s, a great deal of American rock ‘n’ roll came out of New York City. Greenwich Village was home to The Lovin’ Spoonful, a group that combined a good-time folk-flavored jug band vibe with rock spirit. In the space of just 16 months, the group landed seven singles on the Top Ten of Billboard’s charts. They’re best remembered for “Daydream,” “Do You Believe in Magic,” “Did You Ever Have to Make Up Your Mind” and “Summer in the City,” Today, founding member Steve Boone leads a lineup of seasoned players as they deliver the hits with a helping of sixties nostalgia.
