Usually when people keep a journal, they expect it to stay private. Most wouldn’t even consider reading their entries in public, but that’s exactly what author, humorist and modern culture philosopher David Sedaris did in Chicago in the early 1990s. Good thing he did, because that’s how America’s favorite radio host, Ira Glass, discovered Sedaris. Thirty-something years later and Sedaris is a world renowned humorist, author and radio contributor, traveling the world and dispelling his observations, thoughts, musings and dry humor to millions of fans.
