It’s the classic story: a Japanese pop star and singer-songwriter moves to New York City where they transition into a jazz pianist and start their own acclaimed trio with a drummer from The Manhattan Transfer, and a Broadway bass player. Senri Oe Trio, featuring Oe, Rosse Pederson, and Matt Clohesy, have been featured at Blue Note Tokyo, Blue Note Hawaii, and at Birdland in New York. It’s quite a get for Art Boutiki to snag them for a night on their current tour and will likely sell out. There is a limited number of VIP tickets which include a meet and greet.
