Launched in Guadalajara in 1981, Maná soon went on to become of the most popular and influential bands in the Spanish-speaking world. With a sound that draws not only from Latin musical traditions, Maná infuses its music with textures from rock, pop and reggae as well. The band’s breakthrough LP, 1992’s ¿Dónde Jugarán los Niños? (Where Will the Children Play?) was a runaway success in Mexico, Argentina, Chile and Spain, scaling the heights of Billboard’s U.S. Latin Albums charts as well. Politically active and outspoken opponents of what they view as Donald Trump’s racist policies, the group is active in humanitarian causes around the world.
