BoDeans in Menlo Park

What happens when a charismatic frontman joins forces with a smokin’ band of rockabilly musicians that creates memorable songs with endearing licks and lyrics? The result is clearly the BoDeans. Now celebrating their 40th year together, the BoDeans still feature original singer/songwriter, Kurt Neumann. This isn’t a group that stayed a bar band for decades. The BoDeans have toured the world with U2, Bob Dylan and Tom Petty. Neumann keeps his roots by playing “bastard” guitars—guitars he builds out of spare parts of other guitars, mostly Stratocasters. Audiences will pump their fist and shuffle their Doc’s with Wisconsin-bred Neumann’s hits like “Good Things,” “You Don’t Get Much,” “Idaho,” and “Closer To Free.”
