When one hears the words “a close-quarter, live house-style show,” the San Jose Civic isn’t the first venue to come to mind. It’s not even the tenth, for that matter. But when playing sold-out stadiums like Taiwanese trio Accusefive is used to, the Civic can feel like an intimate house show. Formed in 2017, Accusefive delivers dance rock that takes elements of disco, power pop, and alt rock and creates a sound that’s uniquely addictive. There’s a reason why they’ve won multiple times at the Golden Melody Awards—Taiwan’s equivalent to the Grammys. For fans of Death Cab for Cutie, Bright Eyes and Still Woozy.
