Madrid-born Antonio Rey is a widely acclaimed flamenco guitarist and composer. He began his musical journey at age 10, performing alongside his father, Tony Rey. Less than a decade later, he was touring Japan with dancer Yoko Komatsubara. Rey has won several high-profile competitions, including the Concurso Internacional de Guitarra Flamenca Los Cernícalos de Jerez (2004) and the Concurso Nacional de Guitarra Flamenca Niño Ricardo (2008). Rey’s albums Flamenco Sin Fronteras (2020) and 2024’s Historias de un Flamenco—his latest release—won Latin Grammy Awards for Best Flamenco Album. Antonio Rey is an absolute master in contemporary flamenco.
