.Blue Collar Beauty: 'Breaking The Mold'

In a city dominated by the search for the next best thing, it can be refreshing to cast a gaze backward every once in a while. Dating back to 1918, the Kearney Pattern Works & Foundry was the oldest metal foundry in San Jose. With the announcement of its closure last year, photographer Philip Krayna set about chronicling the final months of this historic business that weathered the changing needs of the valley, from producing canning equipment and World War II supplies to biomedical and electronic components. Sep. 26 is a members-only opening; the exhibit opens to the public the following day and runs through Aug. 31, 2019.
