Grateful Dead co-founder, rhythm guitarist and handsome lad, turned grizzly pioneer, Bob Weir, might have left this earthly plane, but his songs and music will live on until the last shard of light glistens on the morning dew. Celebrating the depth and breadth of Weir’s life at this show are some of the most dedicated of the Weir-inspired musicians in the Bay Area. Stu Allen captures the Jerry Garcia seat with aplomb. Mark Karan was Weir’s longtime associate, and guitarist in RatDog. Dave Ellis holds down the sax and lifts the spirits. Sunshine Becker’s voice has lifted Dead tunes alongside Weir for ages. An all star cast for a grateful show.
