Calling all spuds, Devo is coming! While Devo were technically a one hit wonder, as their only visit to the Billboard top 20 came with 1980’s “Whip It,” they have a devoted following that makes them the cultiest of cult bands. With a new documentary on Netflix helping to enlist new recruits to the Energy Dome wearing mutant army, Devo refuses to disappear. Whether a person grew up listening to Freedom of Choice, or heard Mark Mothersbaugh and other Devo members making music for Rugrats and Pee Wee’s Playhouse, Devo have been keeping it weird for generations. They are joined by fellow generation-defining oddballs The B52s.

I would beg to differ that DEVO was much more than a ‘one hit wonder’. With 9 studio albums between 1978 and 2010, 10 live albums, 25 singles and too many compilations and covers to count, DEVO was, and still are quite the musical trail blazers.
