Singer-songwriter Eric Hutchinson has a new album coming out this year. And it is a return to form: simple, uplifting pop-rock. It’s exactly the type of songs that made him famous 15 years ago: “OK, It’s Alright with Me,” “Rock & Roll” and “Not There Yet.” Hutchinson’s debut album, Sounds Like This (2007), was the highest-charting album on iTunes by an unsigned artist. He got picked up by Warner Bros. Records the next year and continued to make audiences feel good with his hooky, bubblegum tunes. He’s played different sounds but was reminded by the brilliance of his early work after doing a 15-year anniversary tour for Sounds Like This and the rest is history.
