Now in the final show of the season, the illustrious Pear Theater saved the best musical for last. Falsettos combines two off-Broadway musicals—March of the Falsettos and Falsettoland—into one emotionally engaging tale. In the two year aftermath of leaving his wife, overwrought New Yorker Martin experiences numerous trials and tribulations, ultimately resulting in his lover Whizzer eventually leaving him. As the AIDs crisis begins to take flight, Marvin and his family face the music with help from altruistic neighbors Charlotte and Cordelia, teaching Marvin (and us) plenty of valuable lessons on love and life.
