Oakland’s three-time Grammy winner Fantastic Negrito not only knows this but is forever a Bay Area son. That’s why he’s throwing the party for his new album, Son of a Broken Man, at the Guild. He draws inspiration from a deep history of blues, rock and funk but puts his own twist on it with some modern grit when called for and extra polish when needed. And he’s most likely the only person to have recorded with E-40 and Sting.
