The Golden Girls turned 40 this year, but the senior spitfires of Miami don’t look a day over 39. TV specials, new merchandise, and pop culture recently celebrated the anniversary of the iconic NBC sitcom, which debuted Sept. 14, 1985, but watching a drag tribute to Dorothy, Rose, Blanche and Sophia has become almost a ritual for fans. Golden Girls: The Laughs Continue is a touring production that features actors Vince Kelley, Ryan Bernier, Adam Graber and Christopher Kamm playing the comedy’s beloved characters, but with new, contemporary storylines—think a sex app for seniors.
