From high school theater departments to Broadway to the 1955 MGM film that brought together Brando and Sinatra, the Tony Award-winning Guys and Dolls is one of the most frequently staged musicals of all time, and with good reason. Damon Runyon’s quintessentially New York short stories serve as the source material. These prohibition era tales combine with Frank Henry Loesser’s brilliantly clever lyrics to create a classic that has managed to charm audiences for 75 years. The Sunnyvale Community Players bust out the fedoras and spats to bring this tale of love to life once again.
