Sir Philip Sidney’s 16th-century prose romance The Countess of Pembroke’s Arcadia follows a duke who consults an oracle about the future of his family, including his wife and two daughters. The Elizabethan novel was adapted into Head Over Heels, a modern jukebox musical with an LGBTQ+ twist, which debuted at the 2015 Oregon Shakespeare Festival and later on Broadway. The show is set to the ’80s music of The Go-Go’s, especially hit songs like “Our Lips Are Sealed,” “We Got the Beat” and “Vacation.” This production by the City Lights Theater Company is directed by Jeffrey Bracco. Performances go until Aug. 24.
