I saw you working the reception/sign-in desk at a bustling urgent care clinic, a thin blonde woman, about 30 years old, wearing a modest scrub. The lobby was packed with coughing, sneezing, wheezing people plus a few crying babies to complete the scene. Impatient people were pressing you for attention, crowding your desk, as your phone rang off the hook. Yet somehow, miraculously, you kept smiling and treating each person with respect and concern, regardless of how rudely some of them behaved. No matter how much you’re getting paid, it’s not enough!
