Hawaii is an incredible vacation destination, but not everyone can afford to fly there. Luckily, for those yearners, Stanford’s Frost Amphitheater is hosting the IMUA Hawaii Festival. Spearheaded by Jake Shimabukuro, arguably the greatest living ukulele player, the festival will embody the spirit of Aloha through a carefully cultivated blend of genres including reggae, folk, blues and classic Hawaiian sounds. The festival will also feature Paula Fuga, a celebrated Hawaiian singer-songwriter, and the Seven Suns, a collective of Hawaiian artists, engineers and musicians who aim to spread unity through their shared emphasis on kahiko rhythms.
