There aren’t many multi-instrumentalists quite like Julieta Venegas. The American-born Mexican singer-songwriter plays a total of 17 instruments and will take those skills to the stage for her performance at the San Jose Civic this Sunday. Venegas has been active across the music scene for the last 31 years, with an estimated 10 million records sold worldwide, and a large number—over 100—awards. She is considered one of the most prominent songwriters in Latin pop, since her 2003 album release of Sí, with hits including “Andar Conmigo” landing her at the top of the Latin Billboard.
