A tenor saxophonist by trade, Kamasi Washington has enchanted audiences with his progressive, improvisational sound, widening the boundaries of jazz music since bursting onto the music scene in the early aughts. Be it as a member of various jazz supergroups such as The Next Step and Young Jazz Giants or in collaboration with artists such as Kendrick Lamar, Herbie Hancock, and Metallica, Washington brings his unique and expansive approach to every track he graces.
