Lauren Daigle is one of those Christian contemporary artists where it takes the whole song before it registers as Christian contemporary. Her honey-alto voice is reminiscent of Adele, and her look vibes with Kate Hudson in Almost Famous, if that movie was about missionaries. Her resume includes plenty of evangelical street cred, including pissing off the mayor of New Orleans for joining in a Covid restriction protest concert. The New Orleans native, inspired by gospel, jazz and zydeco, delivers a dynamic, joyful show and has a legion of music awards and adoring fans to prove it.
