One of the most celebrated and admired acoustic guitarists working in a fingerpicking style, Leo Kottke is an acknowledged master of the 6 and 12-string. He sustained a hand injury in the early ’80s. For most musicians, that might have spelled the end. Instead, Kottke simply developed a new playing style. With more than two dozen albums to his name (plus a trio of collaborative albums with Phish bassist Mike Gordon), Kottke continues to explore the potential of his chosen instruments. Live, his superb and expressive musicianship is joined by his quirky monologues. At age 80, Kottke remains as vital as ever.
