There’s no one quite like Luenell in comedy these days. This weekend, the 64-year-old comedian and actress brings her three-decade career to the South Bay with a four-show stay at the Improv right here in San Jose. Her initial start was bumpy, but the tides turned quickly. With a breakout role in the 2006 blockbuster Borat, Luenell is recognized by both mainstream and gonzo comedy fans. She’s gone on to feature in films and television like Hotel Transylvania, That’s My Boy and It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, and more recently guested on Hacks, Phat Tuesdays and Celebrity Wheel of Fortune.
