This Sunday, the Levitt San Jose Fall Concert Series presents a set of luscious harmonies with an underbelly of noir. Seattle-born and LA-based La Luz fuses the talents of songwriter and guitarist Shana Cleveland with drummer Audrey Johnson and keyboardist Alice Sandahl. As they perform songs from their fourth album, their touring setlist is rumored to include early hits like “Floating Features” and “Sure As Spring.” If summer is for relaxing with friends, the music of La Luz—a washy mix of surf rock and psychedelia, with a touch of doo wop—is a perfect complement as to these last temperamental days of spring.
