At 28 years old, Maryna Krut is a musical ambassador for her home country of Ukraine. Krut, a virtuoso of the bandura (a Ukrainian stringed instrument that’s like a cross between a lute and a zither), gained the world’s attention when she was on her country’s version of The X Factor, The Voice and the international hit Eurovision. When she’s not on tour, she’s flying to the war-torn zones of Ukraine to play for her fellow citizens.
