Guitarist Rick Vandiver and singer Nate Pruitt are known to Bay Area music fans for their genre-spanning work as Primary Colors. For this project, the duo salutes Muscle Shoals, Alabama, home of the studio incubators that gave the world some of its most enduring music. Bob Dylan, the Staple Singers, Bob Seger, Traffic, Elton John, Willie Nelson, Otis Redding, Aretha Franklin and countless others recorded at Muscle Shoals Sound Studio and/or FAME, and the famed Muscle Shoals Rhythm Section (also known as the Swampers) provided the musical backdrop for those celebrated artists.
