It’s the North American Film Association’s first Marathi (a language spoken mainly in the western Indian state of Maharashtra and Mumbai) film festival, produced in partnership with the Pune International Film Festival. Festival-goers can audition for filmmakers, meet and greet people in the industry, attend classes and workshops and see films. It’s a wonderful opportunity for Desi people in Silicon Valley to gather and discuss film, and it is a place for all to view emerging North American talents along with Indian filmmakers.
