Noah and the Arkiteks are a San Jose-based band best known for their unassailable grooves and seductive covers of famous songs. Fronted by the eponymous Noah, the band has made a name for themselves in recent years and become a staple of the South Bay jazz scene. Besides their renditions of other songs, Noah and the Arkiteks also write songs, all tinged with a soulful syrup that brings audiences back for more. The band will perform at one of their flagship venues, the downtown bar, restaurant and music club Mama Kin this week. (TM)
