NTB Collective is jazz fusion living in the 2020s, fearlessly messing with hip hop, R&B, and whatever other sounds strike their fancy, covering artists from Herbie Hancock to Kendrick Lamar. While the core NTB foursome consists of piano, guitar, bass and drums, as a collective, they adjust their configuration to suit whatever sound they’re chasing. San Jose Jazz is bringing the collective to the Gordon Biersch Night Market in Japantown this week for a free show where audience members will be treated to the SJZ Boombox Truck, food trucks and a selection of fine beers.
